The hot weather should lead to a good turn out in Rottingdean today as campaigners have organised a fun day to raise money to save Saltdean Lido.
Campaigners hoping to stop a developer from building apartments on Saltdean Lido have held a fundraising day to raise support for their campaign. The hope to force Brighton and Hove Council to negotiate with the leaseholder so that they can purchase the historic site.
A Fun Day is being held today to raise money to re-open Saltdean Lido. The Save Saltdean Lido Campaign was set up in March 2010 by local residents after plans were announced to fill in the swimming pool, develop the site extensively and create 102 flats.
