Twenty thousand people were expected to descend on Mayflower Park this afternoon for a special jubilee fair and entertainment. Only a fraction of those turned out and braved the weather but those that did, were determined to enjoy themselves.
The display thrilled thousands of people,outside Buckingham Palace.
After visiting the Duke of Edinburgh in hospital today, his youngest son the
Earl of Wessex said: "He's getting better." The Countess of Wessex added:
"He's in good spirits, he's on good form."

Other members of the royal family joined the Queen at a special Diamond Jubilee service including the Duchess of Cambridge from Berkshire.
