Help us find missing woman - police appeal

Police are asking for help to find a vulnerable woman missing from Fareham. Officers are trying to find Katharine Lisa Blakey. The 42 year old was last seen at home yesterday morning, and it's believed she may be staying at a hotel in the Fareham, Portsmouth or Southampton area.


Arrests after £740, 000 fraud

Three Hampshire businessmen have been arrested on suspicion of VAT and Income Tax fraud estimated at £740,000. Customs officers arrested the men at three separate addresses in Southampton yesterday morning.

Two are also suspected of money laundering offences. Investigations are still ongoing and four businesses are being searched. The men have been bailed until 15, 16 and 20 August 2012.

Police are searching for a thief who broke into a barn and made off with it. One of the walls in the outhouse was removed and officers suspect a large vehicle pulled it out of the farmer's field. Other outhouses were also damaged.

Drugs charges after dawn raids

Five men arrested as part of a crackdown in Kent have been charged with supplying drugs. They were arrested during dawn raids in Strood and Chatham yesterday. Two of the men are to appear at Dartford Magistrates Court today.

Ben Burniston from Chatham and Gurinder Fermah from Strood were each charged with conspiracy to supply Class B drugs. Gurinder Fermah was also charged with three counts of supplying Class A drugs. Both were remanded in custody to appear at Dartford Magistrates Court today.

Three others were bailed to appear at a later date.
