Digger being used to create fire break
Firefighters at the site of a blaze in Basingstoke are using a mechanical digger to create a fire break as they struggle to contain the fire.
100 tonnes of rubbish at Basingstoke Skip Hire have been burning since 4am.
More than 30 firefighters are now at the scene.
Fire started early this morning
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service are dealing with a major fire in Basingstoke.
Firefighters were called to the site on Wade Road at just before 4am.
It's understood that 100 tonnes of domestic waste are burning in an open "barn like" structure.
