A 10-year-old girl injured in a car accident on the Isle of Wight has died. She was a passenger in a Subaru Jesty involved in a collision with a Ford Puma on the A3020 last night. The girl's parents & another man from Sandown all sustained serious injuries & remain in hospital on the island.
Four people including a 10-year-old girl are receiving treatment in hospital following a car crash on the Isle of Wight.
Police closed the A3020 near Newport following the collision between a Ford Puma and Subaru Jesty.
A 30-year-old man from Sandown was arrested at the scene and is receiving treatment at St Mary's Hospital on the Isle of Wight. A 44-year-old local man and a 41-year-old local woman are also receiving treatment at St Mary's after they sustained "life threatening injuries".
A 10-year-old girl has been flown to Southampton General Hospital for further treatment.
Officers say they want to speak to anyone who may have seen either of these cars in Newport or Cowes prior to the accident which occurred around 8:30pm last night.
