Double decker bridge crash: Bus company "investigating"
First Hampshire and Dorset bus company has issued a statement after the roof of one of its double decker buses ripped off when it crashed into a bridge in Portchester, Hampshire.
– First Hampshire and Dorset bus company"We can confirm that one of our vehicles, which was travelling out of service, has been involved in an incident in Portchester. There were no passengers on board the bus at the time, and while the driver was shaken by the incident he was not injured. The exact cause of the incident is not yet known. This will be thoroughly investigated. We would like to offer our sincere apologies to anyone who was inconvenienced by the incident."**

The roof of a double decker bus has been ripped off after it crashed into a bridge in Hampshire.
There were no passengers on board at the time when the bus hit the bridge in in Railway Street on Station Road in Portchester.
The bus was out of service at the time and the driver has been treated for shock.
The road remains closed and the Highways Agency are now dealing with the incident.
