An 18-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a teenager.
Liam Martin of Roundhill Way, Guildford, Surrey, will appear at Guildford Magistrates' Court today accused of killing 19-year-old Jake Bates.
Mr Bates, also from Guildford, was found stabbed at an address in Roundhill Way at around 7.45pm on Saturday.
He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination confirmed that the cause of death was a stab wound to the neck.
A teenager remains in custody on suspicion of murder in Guildford.
He was arrested following the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old man during a confrontation.
Police were called to a property in Roundhill Way at around 7.45pm Saturday following reports a man had suffered serious knife wounds.
Emergency teams attended and efforts were made to try to revive the man but he was later pronounced dead at the scene, Surrey Police said.
An 18-year-old man was held on suspicion of murder a short time later.
He was initially taken to the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford for treatment to a minor injury before being transferred into police custody for questioning.
