Witness appeal after crash in Gravesend

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision involving a car which officers say had been driving erratically in Gravesend early this morning. Officers had attempted to pursue the vehicle at about 12.55am today, but were forced to give up when their police car was damaged.

Kent Police say other officers then saw the silver Peugeot which had been travelling from Rochester Road collide with a black Hyundai before colliding with two parked vehicles, a Vauxhall Corsa, a Toyota Prius and a wall on Old Road East.

Kent Fire & Rescue Service freed three of the five people in the Peugeot. Four were taken to a locla hospital with minor injuries, while the 18-year-old driver was taken to a hospital in London with serious injuries. He is now in a stable condition.
