npower has apologised after one of their customers received a bill for more than £14,000 - 180 times her normal amount.
A 62-year-old pensioner has spoken of her surprise after receiving an electricity bill which was 180 times her usual amount.
Pauline Danton from Ramsgate spent five hours on the phone to an npower call centre after she received a bill for £14,334.38.
The company has now apologised after discovering the bill was created by a computer error.
The electricity allegedly used to generate the bill would be enough to power Mrs Danton's home for 15 years.
