Police continue to search for 13-year-old Laley Lane, who went missing from an address in Hove more than a week ago.
Laley is considered to be very vulnerable and police are extremely concerned for her welfare.
Police now believe that Laley, having travelled to London on the day she went missing, later travelled by train to Whitstable in Kent.
She lived in Kent for several years before coming to Sussex and has family and friends there, particularly in the Whistable, Herne bay, Canterbury and Margate areas.
A 13 year old girl has been missing from her home in Hove since Saturday.
Laley Lane was last seen at London Victoria train station just before 8pm on Saturdayevening after travelling there by train from Brighton.
Laley is white, about 5' 3", of slim build, with shoulder length hair which was pink at the front and red at the back, hazel eyes, and has pearl studs in the top of her left ear. She was wearing a dark grey hoodie, black jeggings and black Nike trainers.
She was also carrying a small blue drawstring bag. Police are publishing two photographs of her one of which is the CCTV image of her at Victoria Station.
She has family links to Kent including Whitstable and Dover.
Superintendent Steve Whitton said: "We have already been making widespread enquiries locally and in London and amongst Laley's friends and family, but with every day that passes we are becoming more concerned as she is a very vulnerable young girl.
"If you have seen Laley, or have any information about where she may be, please contact Sussex Police urgently on 101 quoting serial 0402 24/10 or call the Missing People charity on their confidential 24 hour helpline - 116000."
