Heroin seizure at Channel Tunnel

Border Force officers are investigating after approximately three-and-half kilos of heroin was seized at the Channel Tunnel. The drugs, with an estimated street value of £175,000, were discovered when officers stopped a car at the UK controls.

A 38-year-old man from Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham appeared at Canterbury Magistrates Court on November 5, charged with the attempted importation. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody. .
