Specialist fire investigators and police forensic crews are at the scene of a boatyard fire this morning. The blaze if being treated as suspicious after crews were called to Odessa Marine in Newport on the Isle of Wight at 8.09pm last night.
Police are treating a fire at a boat yard on the Isle of Wight as suspicious. Police were called to Odessa Marine at Little London at 8.09pm last night. Detectives and specialist forensic officers are visiting the scene today to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the fire.

A building at a boatyard was badly damaged by a fire on the Isle of Wight last night. Fire crews were called to Odessa Marine on the River Medina in Newport at about 8pm. The single storey building, measuring 30 metres by 30 metres, was said to be well ablaze.
The fire service said it had received at least ten calls from members of the public who saw flames coming from the building's roof. It's not known how the fire started.
