Police are appealing for witnesses after a mother and her baby were attacked near Basingstoke train station.
The incident occurred yesterday between 1.30pm and 2pm, as the woman was walking along an alleyway between the train station and Soper Grove.
An unknown man approached her and grabbed hold of the pushchair - containing the woman’s seven month old son.
He then shook the pram and in the process knocked it to the ground before walking off towards the train station.
Police say there is no suggestion he was trying to take the child. Neither the woman nor her baby were injured.
The man is described as white, in his 30s, 5ft 8, medium build with distinctive large eyebrows, wearing a black hooded Nike top, jeans and black trainers with orange shoe laces.
