£70m to build 21st century pier
New designs have been revealed for a redevelopment of a pier in Kent.
The £70m pound plan would include a marina and hotel. The Herne Bay Pier Trust hopes it would attract tourists from across the country.
It would be the first ever pier marina development in the UK and the Trust says it would create around 250 full-time jobs.
