Dorset hit by flooding

Dorset Fire and Rescue Service is warning people to obey road closed signs after crews were called to six incidents involving motorists stuck in their vehicles.

Rescue teams were called out twice last night and have so far been called out four times this morning.

Areas around Corfe Castle are particularly badly affected. Crews were called to rescue a motorist trapped in their car on East Street at about 7.20am and then stayed to help residents rescue belongings as water levels in the area rose.
