Delays at Heathrow
Thousands of air passengers were delayed at Heathrow tonight after technical problems with the air traffic system stopped flights leaving the airport.
The computer glitch means passengers have faced delays which are now easing.
Currently some flights are an hour late. Services should be normal in the morning. National Air Traffic Services has just issued the following statement.

Replacement bus service running on Southeastern London bound between Hastings and Tonbridge due to signalling problem between Battle and Robertsbridge.
London-bound lines are blocked. Journey times may be extended by up to 45 minutes. There is no estimate for a normal service.

Waiting time of up to one hour to Freight Eurotunnel service at Folkestone due to high volume of traffic. Not affecting passenger services.

Disruption on Chiltern Railway between Oxford and Bicester Town due to signalling problem at Oxford. Affecting all trains to and from Oxford.
Trains may be cancelled while the problem is being fixed. Journey times are extended by up to 30 minutes. There is no estimate for a normal service.
Also affecting CrossCountry services via Southampton and First Great Western routes via Banbury.
TRAVEL - RAIL: SOUTH WEST TRAINS delays
Disruption on South West Trains between Hounslow and Waterloo, between Weybridge and Waterloo and between Windsor and Eton Riverside and Waterloo due to signalling problem at Barnes.
Tickets being accepted on London Underground and London Bus services. Waterloo - Twickenham services via Brentford are cancelled. Journey times may be extended by up to 50 minutes until the end of service today.
