An out of work graduate from the Isle of Wight has invested his last £500 to pay for a billboard advertising his skills. Adam Pacitti, 24, hopes the billboard in London's East End and a video appeal on his website will help him get his first job since graduating from the University of Winchester.
It is not the first time that media-savvy Adam has made headlines. In 2008 he found himself in the newsaround the world thanks to a dream about a mysterious girl. The dream, and a crude felt pen sketch of the girl of his dreams, inspired Adam to create a website in the hope of finding her.
His search was unsuccessful, but he did end up being flown to the US for news interviews and featured in national newspapers and magazines
Police are not treating the death of a man as suspicious after he was hit by a train in Portsmouth. There are long delays on the railways in Hampshire and Sussex this evening after the man was struck by the 16:30 Waterloo to Portsmouth & Southsea service at Hilsea train station.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "Ambulance Service paramedics attended but the male was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are currently working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident, which is currently being treated as non-suspicious."
