The jury in the murder trial of a former police detective from Kent has retired to consider its verdict.

Ivan Esack admits manslaughter but denies the murder of his estranged wife Natalie, who was stabbed to death in her hair salon in Ashford last year. Deliberations will resume at Maidstone Crown Court tomorrow.
