It's snowing in the South!

The first snow of the year has hit the south as large areas of Britain experience a taste of winter weather. The AA has warned that 75% of drivers are not prepared for conditions on the roads, and urged drivers to carry an essential winter kit.

Snow covered the ground in parts of Oxfordshire this morning. Meridian viewer Richard West sent in these photos from Witney. The south is expected to escape the worst of the snow, although there are reports of a light dusting in Hampshire and Kent.
