VIDEO: With near perfect conditions, more than ten thousand people have pounded the streets of Brighton and Hove for the city's annual half marathon. And this year saw a record breaking win.
Andrea Thomas spent the day watching the action and spoke to the winners Paul Martelletti and Emma Taylor-Gooby.
Martelletti does the double in Brighton
Paul Martelletti is celebrating a double win after cruising to victory in the Brighton Half Marathon today. The Victoria Park Harrier won the Brighton 10K last year. He won' the men's race in the Half Marathon in a time of 67 minutes and 29 seconds.

Beating the boys in record breaking run
Worthing and District Harrier Emma Taylor-Gooby spoke to Meridian reporter Andrea Thomas of her pleasure in beating most of the men to finish the Brighton Half Marathon. She was doubly pleased with her record-breaking time of 78 minutes and six seconds - two minutes quicker than the course record.
Record breaking run in Brighton Half Marathon
Worthing and District Harrier Emma Taylor-Gooby completed a record-breaking win at the Brighton Half Marathon. Her 78 minute six second run was more than two minutes quicker than the previous course record set by Brighton and Hove City's Fiona Powell in 2011.
Paul Martelletti, of Victoria Park Harriers, won the men's race in 6 7minutes, 29 seconds.

It was glorious sunshine for the start of the Brighton Half Marathon as 12,000 runners pound the pavements to raise thousands of pounds for charity.

Emma Taylor-Gooby was the first women to cross the finish line in Brighton Half Marathon. She did it in one hour, eighteen minutes and six seconds.
Martelletti wins Brighton Half Marathon
The winner of the men's race in the Brighton Half Marathon is Paul Martelletti. It took him an hour, seven minutes and 30 seconds.
Beautiful sunshine for Brighton Half Marathon
Runners are being greeted by beautiful sunshine this morning as 12,000 of them get ready to pound the streets of Brighton and Hove today. The city's annual half marathon was launched in 1991 when it had just 200 runners competing. It's now one of the country's most popular seafront road races.
