Psychiatric patient murdered woman after killing mother
A psychiatric patient who murdered a woman six years after she killed her mother has been jailed for life. Nicola Edgington stabbed her mother to death at her home in Forest Row in Sussex in 2005.
The 32-year-old was released from a mental health unit after three years. She was found guilty of murdering 58-year-old Sally Hodkin in October 2011, and of the attempted murder of another woman.
