School cook steps down, aged 75

A much-loved school cook in Sussex has stepped down from her post at the age of 75 - after 43 years of serving meals to the children.

When she started serving school meals, pounds, shillings and pence were in use. The Beatles were still together - just. And the Jumbo jet made its first commercial flight. The year was 1970 and Kitty Keeley began cooking for the kids at Dallington Primary in Sussex.

43 years later - at the age of 75 - she's retiring. David Johns went to see her hang up her pinny for the last time, talking to Kitty and the headteacher, Shirley Frankis.
