Major fire at thatched cottage

More than 40 firefighters battled a major blaze at a thatched cottage in Hampshire.

It broke out on Claypits Lane in Dibden this morning. The elderly owner has escaped unharmed.

The road was closed for a number of hours as crews brought the fire under control.
