Kent Police is appealing for the public’s help in tracing a soldier from Brompton Barracks who has been missing since the early hours of Wednesday morning.

'He vanished without a trace'

The father of a missing soldier has travelled to Kent to help search for him.

Josh Thomas, who is based at Brompton Barracks, Chatham, was last seen outside the City Wall pub in Rochester on Wednesday April 10, after a night out with friends.

The father of a missing soldier is travelling to Kent today to help search for him.

Josh Thomas, who is based at Brompton Barracks, Chatham, was last seen outside the City Wall pub in Rochester on Wednesday April 10, after a night out with friends.

Friends have set up a Facebook group appealing for information as to the 18 year old's whereabouts. His family made an emotional appeal earlier this week for Josh to get in touch and today his father, Gary, is heading to Kent from Wales to join the search.

Josh is described as white, around 5ft 9in tall, of slim build, with short dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark blue Lyall and Scott jumper with a white and red collar, grey jeans and white Converse trainers.

The father of a soldier who went missing on a night out in Kent has made a desperate plea for information about his son's whereabouts.

Josh Thomas - based at barracks in Brompton - was last seen six days ago walking across a bridge over the River Medway.

Kent Police are trying to trace a car filmed on CCTV as it pulled up alongside him.

Kent Police is appealing for help in tracing a soldier from Brompton Barracks who has been missing since the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Officers say they are growing increasingly concerned for Josh Thomas, 18, who was last seen by friends outside the City Wall pub in Rochester.

Josh, from Wales and a soldier at the barracks on Dock Road in Chatham, had been on a night out with friends and was seen shortly before 1am on CCTV cameras walking across Rochester bridge and into Corporation Street.

He is described as white, about 5ft 9ins tall, slim and with short dark brown hair. He was wearing a dark blue Lyall and Scott jumper with white and red collar, grey jeans and white Converse trainers.

Officers are keen to speak with anyone that might have seen Josh on Corporation Street or might have some information that could help. You are asked to call 101, quoting reference 10-0243, Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
