Saturday's football results

All of the region's teams were in action today. So how did they do?

In the Premier League, Reading ended a run of eight straight defeats with a 0-0 draw against Liverpool at the Madejski. While Southampton drew one all at home to West Ham.

Brighton beat Middlesbrough two nil in the Championship.

In League One, after an historic week for Portsmouth, they headed to Brentford in need of a win. But they couldn't deliver. Losing 3-2.

Crawley were at home to Coventry - success for the Sussex side with a 2-0 win.

Swindon travelled to Sheffield and face a long journey home, having lost 2-0.

And Bournemouth, who have promotion in their sights, beat Shrewsbury 3-0.

In league Two, Gillingham lost 1-0 to Cheltenham. While it was a win away for Oxford United beat Dagenham and Redbridge 1-0 and Aldershot lost 2-1 away to Wycombe.
