The first British Dreamliner will arrive in the UK at the end of the month, Thomson Airways have just announced. It is due to arrive at Manchester on May 31st. The aircraft will then be used to train crew and will fly from Gatwick, Manchester and Scotland in July.
The plane was due to start flying this month but was delayed because of fears batteries could catch fire. That issue has now been resolved. The Boeing 787 is a new generation of aircraft and called 'the plastic plane' because it is built of a composite of carbon and plastic.
