Victim needed surgery after attack on night out

This was a nasty attack which resulted in the victim requiring surgery for his injuries. I would like to hear from anyone who was out and about in Petersfield town centre in the early hours of Saturday, June 1 and may have witnessed this incident. I’d particularly like to speak to a man who was seen walking in the same area shortly before the assault as he may have some relevant information.
