There were tears all round in Canterbury today as the Queen said goodbye to the army. She arrived by helicopter at Howe Barracks to inspect the troops.
As Colonel in Chief of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, this was a tour to bid farewell to the Battalion. It's not only leaving Canterbury but also being reduced to a single Company. David Johns has our report.

Troops at Howe Barracks in Canterbury are meeting the Queen this lunchtime. The Barracks are currently home to Canterbury's Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland. They're leaving the city after ten years.
