Dramatic CCTV footage has been released showing the moment three robbers - one wielding an axe - terrorised staff at a seaside amusement arcade before escaping with thousands of pounds.

The gang leader threatened a woman staff member with the axe before demanding the contents of the safe at the arcade on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. Tonight a reward is being offered for the gang's capture and conviction. Watch John Ryall's report.

Video: CCTV of armed robbery in Kent

Police have released CCTV of the moment three men threatened staff at an amusement arcade in Kent with an axe.

£3,000 was stolen from Mr G's arcade on the Isle of Sheppey at the weekend. Police say the men, were armed with a snooker cue and an axe. A car was later found abandoned in Eastchurch.

Armed robbery at amusement arcade

Police are continuing to hunt for three men who carried out an armed robbery on an amusement arcade on the Isle of Sheppey.

They entered Mr G Amusements in The Promenade at Leysdown-on-Sea on Saturday afternoon armed with what is believed to be a snooker cue and an axe. The men threatened staff and made off with cash.

The black BMW they were in was later found dumped at Cheyne Road in Eastchurch.
