Stars from the world of cricket will gather at Canterbury Cathedral this lunchtime to pay tribute to former Kent and England captain Mike Denness.

He died from cancer at the age of 72.

Mike led the county side to six domestic trophies between 1972 and 1976, scored more than 30,000 runs and also captained England in 19 matches.

He was made an OBE by the Queen.
