A teenager born with atheroid cerebral palsy, which affects her limbs as well as her speech, will today attempt to sail across the English Channel using just her mouth to control the boat.

A teenager from the Isle of Wight has arrived in Dover, after sailing across the English Channel using just her mouth to control her specially adapted boat.

Natasha Lambert was born with atheroid cerebral palsy, which affects her limbs as well as her speech. She took part in the 'The French Connection' challenge to raise money for charity.

French Connection: Teenager's sailing challenge

A 16-year-old from the Isle of Wight will today attempt to sail across the English Channel using just her mouth to control her specially adapted boat.

Natasha Lambert was born with atheroid cerebral palsy, which affects her limbs as well as her speech. The 25 mile voyage, which starts in Bologne in France this morning and finishes in Dover, will take her around seven hours to complete.

She is raising money for the RNLI, the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust and Wetwheels Solent.
