A care home for elderly people - is to close - despite a massive campaign to save it. More than three thousand local people signed a petition to keep the home in Reading open.
But the council has voted to shut it's doors - meaning the frail and elderly residents will have to move elsewhere. Andrew Pate went along to find out more.
Councillors in Reading have voted to close a care home and an associated day centre.
They say the Arthur Clark home in Caversham would cost £1m to bring up to modern standards. More than 4,000 people signed a petition calling for it to remain.
