Burglary at Dorset school

Police in Sturminister Newton are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information after a burglary at a school in the town.

Dorset high school burglary

A Dorset high school was burgled last night as the offender ran off with several phones and iPods.

The incident happened at around 5.05pm on Wednesday July, 3 at Sturminister Newton High School on Bath Road.

A member of staff alerted the police when they disturbed an unknown person in the school's changing rooms.

The offender ran off through a fire exit with a number of valuable items.

Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed a man acting suspiciously in the area prior to the incident, or has details of his identity to contact us in confidence.

I would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen two suspicious vehicles make off from outside the school just after the incident occurred. We believe these to be a small white car or van and a blue Peugeot.
