The family of an Isle of Wight man who died in a collision in the New Forest have paid tribute to him.
Michael Smith, 50-years-old, from Freshwater in Isle of Wight, died when he lost control of his motorbike and struck a van travelling in the opposite direction.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision at around 10pm on Tuesday July, 2 on the A35 between Ashurst and Lyndhurst.
The road was closed for seven and a half hours while collision investigators examined the scene and recovered the vehicles.
In the family's statement his brother Richard described how much Michael loved life.
