Tributes to motorcyclist after Stockbridge death

Police have named the motorcyclist who died in a collision on the A30 near Stockbridge on Friday as Thomas Reeves, 24, of Winterbourne Gunner, Wiltshire.

He was riding his Honda motorbike from Stockbridge towards Salisbury at around 4pm when he was in collision with a Ford flat-bed truck at Lopcombe Corner at the Hollom Down Road junction.

Mr Reeves was pronounced dead at the scene.

The van driver, a 24-year-old man from Romsey, was not injured but badly shaken.

Police are continuing their appeal for witnesses and say they would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision, or either of the vehicles prior to it, to call Whitchurch Roads Policing unit on 101.

He will always be in our hearts and sadly missed by many, he was highly regarded in the job he dedicated his life to in the army.

He unfortunately passed away doing the thing he loved most on the bike he loved most, his ‘blade’ also known as ‘lady.

If anyone that knew him feels inclined, donations to ‘Help the Heroes,’ his favourite charity, would be truly appreciated.
