In ten days time more than sixty years of vehicle production by Ford will end as the final transit van will roll off the production line in Southampton.
Over 500 staff at the Swaythling plant were told they were losing their jobs last October.
Today Andrew Pate went into the factory as production starts to wind down. He spoke to former employees Paul Bond, Bob Painter and Kevin Diaper, as well as John Denham MP.
In ten days time the Ford factory in Southampton will close. Workers at the plant say they are optimistic that their skills can be transferred elsewhere.
