A man who didn't return to Springhill Prison near Aylesbury while on day release, is wanted for questioning in connection with a murder in Hertfordshire. Ian McLoughlin is serving a life sentence for the murder of a barman in Brighton, 21 years ago.
Police say a convicted killer, suspected of carrying out another murder at the weekend, could now be in Sussex. Ian McLoughlin was on day release from a prison in Buckinghamshire.

Police in Sussex are warning the public to stay away from a man who they want to speak to in connection with a murder in Hertfordshire at the weekend.
Ian McLoughlin who's fifty five was jailed for life in 1992 for the murder of a barman in Brighton. He was on day release from Springhill Prison near Aylesbury but failed to return.
Chief Superintendent Steve Barry, from Sussex Police, said: "We are working with colleagues in Hertfordshire in a bid to trace this man. There is no specific information to suggest that he is in Sussex, but we would ask anyone who spots him or knows of his whereabouts to dial 999 immediately."
"Do not approach him. He is a very dangerous man."
