A man was airlifted to hospital this morning after a serious car crash.

Car passengers have been stuck in queues for hours and some have been walking along the hard shoulder of the motorway.

The two vehicle collision involved a white Renault lorry and a black Ford Transit.

The man was taken by air ambulance with serious injuries and another man had minor injuries.

Traffic is building up after a serious collision this morning on the M2 motorway between J6 and J7.

A man was taken by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital with serious injuries.

The coast-bound carriage is closed while vehicles are recovered to allow debris and fuel to be cleared from the carriageway.
