'Dragon ring' clue to murder

Kent Police are issuing a fresh appeal for witnesses following the discovery of a man's body on the Isle of Sheppey. The victim was wearing a ring with a dragon's head.

Two arrested over Kent murder

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the discovery of a body on the Isle of Sheppey.

A 44-year-old man and 43-year-old woman from London are currently in police custody.

Officers were called at just before 6am on Wednesday 7 August to Warden Bay Road in Leysdown after a body was found on the beach between Little Groves caravan site and Isle of Sheppey Holiday Village.

Police are now looking to identify a man by the ring, with the head of a dragon, worn on his wedding finger.

Officers were called before 6am on Wednesday, August 7 to Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey after a body was found on the beach.

The death is being treated as suspicious and a murder investigation has been launched.

A post mortem examination concluded that the man, who has yet to be identified, died of significant head injuries.

The man has been described as white, between 30 to 40-years-old and was bald.
