Police name teenager who died at festival

Police have named the teenager who died after attending the Boomtown fair in Winchester.

Medical staff were alerted just after 10pm where she was taken to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Eleanor Rowe, aged 18, from Glastonbury in Somerset has been named as the teenager who died at the festival.

The post mortem examination took place on Monday, August 12 and the results were inconclusive.

Further toxicology tests are being completed to determine the cause of death.

A teenager has died at the Boomtown Fair music festival near Winchester.

Emergency services were made aware of a woman in need of medical attention just after 10pm on Thursday, August 8. On site medical services responded and an 18-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The death is not being treated as suspicious. The woman's next of kin and the coroner have been informed. Hampshire Constabulary are working with Boomtown Fair organisers to find out what happened.
