A3 serious accident

There has been a serious accident on the A3 at Liss in Hampshire.

A3 both carriageways re-opens

The A3 southbound and northbound are now opened after a serious collision earlier this morning.

It is believed the car travelling north crossed over the central reservation and stopped on the opposite carriageway.

The woman driving was taken to Southampton General Hospital by air ambulance with what are described as life threatening injuries.

The A3 southbound which was previously closed due to a serious accident is now opening in the next few minutes.

The car travelled across the central reservation and ended up on its roof on the other side of the road.

Serious crash on A3

There has been a serious car accident in Hampshire this morning after a car was reported on its roof on the A3.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the A3 Southbound at Liss.

It is believed the car travelling north crossed over the central reservation and stopped on the opposite carriageway.

The woman driving was taken to Southampton General Hospital by air ambulance with what are described as life threatening injuries.

Both southbound and northbound carriageways of the A3 have been closed to allow for a full investigation of the scene.

At this time no other vehicles are believed to be involved but police are looking into whether or not that was the case.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
