Video. Work has started today on a new wetland nature reserve to protect threatened species such as water voles and otters along the River Thames in Oxfordshire. The River of Life project will transform a two and a half kilometre stretch of the river near Wallingford.
The aim is to return the area to nature with wet woodland, reed beds, ponds and backwaters and will take several years to complete. Heather Edwards reports.
