A man is due before Magistrates later charged in connection with an attack on three teenagers in a skate park in Southampton. The girls - who are 15 and 16 - were assaulted in Hinkler Green in Thornhill on Friday night.
Two sustained serious face and head injuries and were treated at Southampton General Hospital.
Detectives have charged a man in connection with an assault on three teenage girls in Thornhill, Southampton. Ryan Walker, aged 18, of Chettle Road, has been charged with:
Attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm
Inflicting grievous bodily harm
Possession of a bladed article
The charges come after a 15 and 16-year-old girl were assaulted in Hinkler Park in Thornhill on Friday evening. The girls sustained significant face and head injuries and were treated at Southampton General Hospital. Another 15-year-old girl was also assaulted and sustained minor injuries.
Ryan Walker was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court on Monday, October 21st.
Officers from the Safer Neighbourhoods Team will be in the area this weekend to answer and questions members of the community may have and to offer advice and reassurance.

Detectives in Southampton are appealing for witnesses after two teenage girls were assaulted. The girls were in the communal area of a block of flats in Chettle Road in Bitterne yesterday night, when a man spoke to them on the stairs. There was an exchange of words.
Later that evening, the girls went to the skate park at Hinkler Park where they saw the same man. There was an altercation and the girls, aged 15 and 16, were seriously assaulted.
They sustained facial and head injuries and are currently being treated at Southampton General Hospital.
