Sunday's weather: a burst of winter sunshine


It will be a cold and frosty start. Dry with lighter winds than recently and some long periods of winter sunshine. A few isolated showers may drift inland along the south coast later. Maximum Temperature 8 °C.


Cloud spreading across the region through the evening with outbreaks of rain developing later in the night. Southerly winds strengthening with strong gusts. Rain may become heavier towards dawn. Minimum Temperature 4 °C.


It will be wet and very windy through much of Monday, with rain heavy at times during the morning. Becoming drier from the west through the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 10 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:Further wind and rain arriving Tuesday. Brighter with a few showers Wednesday, then windier with rain after dark, clearing early Thursday morning. Sunny spells and showers Thursday, but remaining windy.

Saturday's forecast with a look ahead to the days to come


A lot of places will have a dry day with some sunshine. It will feel a bit chilly in the wind and there will be some heavy showers, particularly along southern coastal counties during the day. Maximum temperature 8 deg C (46 deg F).



Some heavy evening showers along southern counties initially, then becoming dry with clear skies for most parts overnight, leading to a widespread frost by dawn, especially in the countryside. Minimum temperature 0 deg C (32 deg F).


After a cold and frosty start it will be a fine and dry day with good spells of sunshine. Winds will be lighter so it should feel less cold. Maximum temperature 8 deg C (46 deg F).

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday: Overnight wind and rain will clear during Monday. After a drier interlude further wet and windy weather returns later Tuesday. Breezy on Wednesday with some sunshine and a few showers
