VIDEO : 'Ostrich' on the run!
We've all heard the excuses for being late. Roadworks, accidents and even traffic lights not working. But commuters near Tunbridge Wells now have a more unusual excuse - an ostrich on the loose!
Drivers said they were held up by an ostrich running between cars on a section of road near Rusthall during the rush hour. Sarah Saunders spoke to local residents and an Ostrich expert from Port Lympne wildlife park to get to the bottom of the mystery.
'Ostrich' has been on the run since December
An escaped bird has been ruffling feathers in Rusthall near Tunbridge Wells. Commuters were surprised this week when what appeared to be a small ostrich dashed past. It has reportedly been on the loose since December after escaping from a nearby farm.
We caught up with residents who confirmed it was actually a rhea.
