Rail repairs need "significantly more work"

Engineers assessing yesterday's landslip which closed the Eastleigh to Fareham line at Botley, say repairs will take a lot longer than first hoped.

It was originally thought the line would re-open on Wednesday, but South West trains now say it could take longer.

Engineers have assessed the site and significantly more work is required than previously anticipated.
