A coroner today said a man who drowned while trying to save two young girls caught in strong currents at the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour was a hero.

Marco De Araujo, who was 33, went into the water at Old Portsmouth in July 2012 to try and rescue the girls. The two youngsters made it back safely, but Marco drowned. Martin Dowse was at today's inquest.
