A banned driver jailed for causing the death of a 16-year-old moped rider from Ringwood has lost an appeal against his sentence. Jade Clark was hit by 58-year-old Brian Hampton on the A31 in February last year.

Hampton, who admitted causing death by careless driving and was found guilty of perverting the course of justice, was jailed for six years. Today, three judges at the Court of Appeal said he deserves every day of the sentence.
