Man to appear in court tomorrow charged with murder

A Wiltshire man, charged with murder, will appear in court tomorrow morning.

Leonard Webb, aged 68, will appear at North West Wiltshire Magistrates Court.

He has been charged with the murder of a 64-year-old woman who was found on Good Friday at a property in Avondale Road, Durrington.

Officers arrived at the property to find the victim with serious injuries.

She sadly died from those injuries a short while after.

A murder investigation continues in Wiltshire following the death of a woman in Durrington on Friday. Wiltshire Police were called to a house in Avondown Road, Durrington, at 1.45pm to reports of a woman with serious injuries.

After officers arrived, a 64-year-old woman was discovered with serious injuries inside the property. She sadly died from these injuries a short while after officers arrived at the scene. A 68-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of murder and he remains in police custody at this time.

A 69-year-old man has been arrested after a woman died at a house at a Wiltshire village. Wiltshire Police have started a murder inquiry after finding the woman on Friday afternoon with serious injuries at the house in Avondown Road, Durrington, near Amesbury.

The 56-year-old woman died at the scene. The man was initially arrested at the house on suspicion of attempted murder. He is still being questioned.
