Rolf Harris is tonight in jail - sentenced to five years and nine months for assaults against young girls - one when she was just seven or eight.

The entertainer had left his home, in Bray, in Berkshire, on a boat on the River Thames to avoid the press, as he headed to court for sentencing.

He was found guilty of crimes between 1968 and 1986. One of his victims said he'd taken her childhood innocence.

Tonight, there are calls for his sentence to be increased. His case has been referred to the Attorney General for being "too lenient". Andrew Pate reports on the day's events.
